If not, they risk being left behind in one of the most important technological shifts of our time. This is the motivation behind “Integrating Teens into the Future of AI,” a community-driven technology education initiative designed to introduce post-primary school and early college students to the world of Artificial Intelligence.
Bridging the AI Knowledge Gap
Across many Nigerian schools, students learn basic computer skills but rarely receive exposure to emerging technologies like AI, automation, or machine learning. Meanwhile, these technologies are becoming fundamental tools across industries.
The goal of the program is simple but powerful: introduce teenagers to AI early and teach them how to use it responsibly, creatively, and productively.
A Community-Based Approach
Integrating Teens into the Future of AI” is not designed as a traditional classroom program. Instead, it operates as a community learning initiative that brings together students, mentors, and technology enthusiasts.
The program will initially run across four Nigerian cities:

What Students Will Learn

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
Students start by understanding what AI actually is, how it works, and where it already exists in everyday life. This foundation helps demystify the technology and remove the intimidation that often surrounds it.
Prompt Engineering
One of the most valuable modern AI skills is learning how to effectively communicate with AI systems. Students will learn how to craft structured prompts that produce useful, reliable outputs.
AI Tools for Productivity
Participants will explore how AI can assist with writing, research, learning, and problem-solving. They will learn how to responsibly use AI to support academic work and creative projects.
AI Automation
Students will discover how AI can automate repetitive tasks and workflows, helping them understand how automation is changing modern workplaces.
AI-Assisted Research
The program also teaches students how to use AI tools to gather information, summarize complex topics, and conduct research effectively while verifying the accuracy of AI outputs.
Responsible and Ethical AI
